Default 28SS Engine Options

Considering a 28SS with 454/330's and TRS's. Seems that this boat may be very stern heavy and most others I've seen or read about have small blocks. Any comments or experience one way or the other?

i own a 28ss 1977 with twin small blocks with aluminum exhaust and still sits very deep in the stern just added external steering, wing plates are heavy should sit a little deeper, cant amagine big blocks even less room to work.
