Carbon Fiber Cigs
How many 38 carbon fiber top guns were made.
I thought I saw somewhere in another thread that there were only 4
If so which ones.

Re: Carbon Fiber Cigs
Our boat is a Carbon 70 boat.. Was a $15k option when the boat was new. Totally different ride then a Kevlar or Fiberglass boat. Oh yeah.....4 sale too!

Re: Carbon Fiber Cigs
From what I have been told about the Carbon 70 boats, it was simply a layer of CF added to the inside hull of a regular fiberglass lay-up boat to make it a bit stiffer.
What is the weight difference between a regular lay-up Top Gun and a
Carbon 70 TG?
If Craig Barrie or anyone that worked at Cigarette back then could tell us what the Carbon 70 option was all about I'd love to hear it.

Kurt, you can go up to our boat and push your thumbs against the hull and see it move back and forth.

Re: Carbon Fiber Cigs
What's the story on the MAXX boat? It's been for sale for a long time ... are there issues?

Re: Carbon Fiber Cigs
One other thing to add - NONE of the four boats is in its original race form anymore. Each of the boats have been "pleasurized" to some degree. The most upgrades have gone into the ex-Team Virgin boat. The owner spent a small fortune to create an awesome custom interior. If someone has pics of the boat before and after I am sure everyone would love to see them. SpeedRacer (aka Dick Simon) was pleasurized by myself with the help of Tres at Martin Marine and Dan at Archer Marine. It was essentially turned into a circa-2000 pleasure Top Gun cockpit. Gary's boat was also redone by Phil at Lipship. The boat that appears to have the least amount of upgrades is the MAXX boat which is still for sale. I cannot believe that someone has not purchased this boat yet. It is priced well and has a ton of potential in terms of upgrading it into an incredible Poker Run boat. Also, I believe it may be the only one of the four that never experienced an "incident" in its heyday.

That is why each of the boats are slightly different. They each had their own ideas of what they thought would make their boat the fastest.

It might be sold. Waiting for the domino of sale based on a sale based on a ....
Tres rigged it originally racing it with the Maxx Petroleum family out of Canada I think, but it was tamed down when the current owner got it.
