Is it against the rules ??

Things keep changing around here. Is it now against the rules to refer someone to the classifieds if a boat is for sale?

Big beatdown pontoon boat. Bring your own fenders.

It depends on who it is.

Re: Is it against the rules ??

I let people know my 2000 T/S Carbonfiber Top Gun is for sale by referring them to my signature. It has a link to my listing in the OSO classified ads.

boatless and on the hunt
Where did they all go??

Speaking of classifieds, I was gone for 5 days, came back and the number of cigs wen't from 84 to 28

Did all these folks take the boats off the market or did they all sell??

Total boats listed dropped from 600+ to 200+

It's a difficult situation. I really don't mind it honestly, but it's the domino effect that occurs when a few are allowed.

If every person selling a boat in the classifieds started a thread about their boat, you can imagine what the board would look like. The whole site would be a classified ad. To top that they would bump it to the top everytime it left the front page. Take 20 of these and we no longer have a general discussion or owners forum to use for information.

I would recommend doing what Cigarette1 and some others have done. Put a link to it in your signature. Everytime you post, we can see the link.

Sorry man.
