Re: Post your Oldschool ride!

The Black Duck that boat had won more offshore wins that any other boat out there, When it was retired from racing after the nose go torn off at the worlds in Key West back around 1996. I rerigged the boat after the deck was burn off in the race in Michigan around 1988. The boat was run as from 1984 to 1996 as Black Duck - Boardwalk - E&B Marine - Pennzoil. I have a lot of pictures of boat, I was part on Nicky's team from 1988 till he he stopped racing his own boat.

Hey Cluster,
My Dad was the original owner of The Black Duck. He raced from 1981-1985. Nicky bought it in late 1985 and raced it until 1998 when the deck was blown off after he landed in a hole. I believe my dad won 27 of the 41 races he entered which was(probaly still is) the best of all time.

We still see Nicky all the time. In fact I just dropped my Scarab off at his marina for winter storage.
