Re: What happened to all the TIN boats??

Richie maybe they took up the driver and throttleman option, leaving Shead to steer only.
I am now slightly confused too. Unowot became Uno Embassy in 74/75 - yet Yellowdrama is in the pic with Unowot. Yellowdrama wasn´t about until 76? Where´s Graham/Marco/Phil when you need them?!!!

You are right Nigel, when I saw the first time the picture of Yellowdrama III and Unowot toghether in 1977 I didn't believe that!
After three years in white colour the old Enfield 37' came back to the light blue!
Then in 1979 it came back to the white when it became Uno Mint Jewellery!

Re: What happened to all the TIN boats??

The king of Spain had a tin boat as well. I got to strip that boat around 2000 as they would not sell the complete boat to me. 6 month later I was offered the hull for free but turned it down due to logistics. It was later sold to Germany and last I heard it was reriged with #6 drives and 1100 HP engines. I only have paper pictures of this boat and no scanner so I cant post pictures sorry.

Re: What happened to all the TIN boats??

Anyone know what the story is with the 46' Cougar that Lake Cubmerland Marine has for sale?

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.com/page-13032.html

Also, This is a question for the Europeans I guess... I've been watching the UIM P1 racing on Speed and saw that Panatta's Thuraya CUV/Lambo burned. Was the boat rebuilt and was it rebuilt with Lambo power again?

Re: What happened to all the TIN boats??

The Panatta's boat was rebuilt with Lamborghini(parts from the Yellow CUV" Dino Bianchi",2004 Season) and raced for the last event in Portugal.

Thanks! That CUV with Lambo power is such a classic combination. I'm glad the boat was rebuilt. I love the look of those CUVs.
