Mark if you remember the old Kiekhaefer Champion Maker motors had no belts at all....everything was gear driven. I wonder what that did for them for reliability.

I see that your motors have belts on them. Do you know if anyone today is making motors with gears rather than belts?

We just opened up a couple of new sections on the site.

One is for catamaran race boats only and the other is titled personalities....a lot of head shots of people whose names have been around for along time, but no one knows what they look like because they always had a helmet on and were flying off a wave in the photos.

Does anyone recognize the guy in the tunnel boat?

The next step is to put up some of the members boats. We have had a lot of them e-mail the photos to us, and we tried to get a good range of all types of boats.

Videos and the store are still in the under construction phase. We do have some photos up for auction on ebay under Sports memorabilia, photos. We had extra PR photos and releases that we are auctioning off.

Trying to put together a calendar for Christmas gifts. 12 large format photos of the old 36 foot Cigarette race boats. Also working on a version of a coffee table type book, also for Christmas.

Also just rec'd the latest EXTREME BOATS MAG in and it has a very nice story written by our own Ron P about the Historic Baots in NY for the poker run. Some nice photos that show a pair of real monster engines by Kiekhaefer Aeromarine.

check it out www.historicraceboats.com
