The old popeyes 38` Scarab was originally Jeff Marshalls boat called rampage, Jeff raced for a year or so, I think Smitty throttled for him, then he sold or leased?????? to Sirois/Copeland and they raced for the Harmsworth trophy in Europe. There is a great picture in the Searace book of them comming down the side of a huge wave in Europe. Not sure what ever happened to the boat after.

this boat was the former "honker cut"and was in california before the french ownership. The french owner just use it once in P1 in 2005 and we never see the team after that.

7X Champ,
Jeff Marshall named the Scarab "Villain" and Eddie Trotta named it "Rampage" if my memory serve me correctly.

cig 28,
You could be right, but Jeff Marshall ran a boat called "Villain" and he may have been the one who changed the name to "Rampage" before Eddie Trotta. Everyone on this site is so knowledgable, I don't want to give any misinformation.

Honker Cut Marine is a shop up in Northern California just outside of Stockton on the California Delta, not sure but I would assume it was raced by the shop owner.

Guys,
Here's the photo that I should have posted instead of the "RAMPAGE" Cigarette shot. That's Jeff Marshall and Smitty in the Scarab "VILLAIN."
