Reliableone here on OSO has added this Scarab to his fleet. It has been mostly a poker run boat, but it ran in a few races years ago. She was at the our LSC old school reunion last June.

Thank you for posting those pics h2oboater! What a gorgeous boat. I remember I saw it in an ad in DuPont registry years ago. I think the ad said: cruises at 100mph all day long, top speed 115mph.
The only Scarab that is more beautiful is that 46' (?) of Don Johnson (MerCruiser/Lamborghini) that is pictured in the BalTek ad in Searace.

The beauty of the six-pack seating is you can have a tough-guy looking h2oboater lookalike back there monitoring the motors AND handling deep fryer / blender duties! Bet that being a race official was easier?
