Thatīs honestly a problem...the feds surely wouldīve liked to look into the bookkeeping of the companies at least.
If the History of the boat isnīt known by the current owner heīd go with the prefix and hoopla itīs a Cig.
Exporting a Squadron with a CRT prefix or vice versa would certainly be a problem if not impossible considering US Customs...even taking one abroad (Mexico/Canada) for a Holiday would end up in a disaster or ??
When Aronow repurchased Cigarette, he continued producing the 27 as a CRT boat, not an XEX. He titled them as Cigarettes- Squadron XXII was essentially a model designation.
Howabout the Cigarette 39 Squadron then...did it come before or after the buying of Cigarette?
Iīve seen a Cig ad for a 39 Squadron that looks almost as the 39 XII but the windshield is V-shaped like in the 35 Cig Mistress.
Hereīs the ad...was this model in the lineup before the Sale of Cig 1979 or after Dons backbuy of 1982/3?
Here the windshield is like in the Mistress but the pleasure version of SquadronXII 39 has a straight Deflector like in a 35 Awesome
Thanx for your effort.
According to Bobby Saccenti XIIīs rode harder because of the wider strakes (3/4 of an inch?) they have compared to a Cig (Racing of course)?
* Iīve always thought they were identical hulls...
A pleasure boater never finds the diffrence Iīd say.
