Re: Who Would Sell This....the Legend

Wylie,welcome to OSO.

If you and your family could see fit to allow the rest of us boat bums a little peek into your dad's life would leave 1000's of offshore enthusiasts forever in your debt.
A travelling display showcasing the father of the sport we are addicted to would be an inspiring thing to see.
The power of OSO, as its often referred to around here can do amazing things. With the collective talents and resources of it's members, I have no doubt it could be accomplished.

FWIW, I owned and started to restore your dad's original "Maltese Magnum", reluctantly I sold it to someone who is in a better position $$ to restore it.

I am very impressed by your professional and personal response to the questions raised by
those of us who have a tremendous respect for your Dad, and the Aronow legacy.

I personally raced a 28 Magnum, for most of the 90s, and I can say, that of all of the boats
I have owned, it is the only one I really, really miss.

Perhaps, a traveling memorabilia display, available at various offshore racing venues,
boat shows, or OSO gatherings, might be in the near future?

I bought it from Frank and sold it to a guy in Sweden.

Message For Wylie Aronow

Wylie,

I am writing on behalf of the Don Aronow Documentary Productions. My name is Sheri. I am the production assistant for the documentary.

We have been interviewing numerous speed boat racers, friends and colleagues of your father.

In order to make this documentary a complete repertoire of Don Aronow we need the participation of the Aronow family. I was very pleased to see you posting on the forum. I must say I was very impressed with your replies.

Would you be willing to meet with us and share the recollections you may have of your father? We would like to know more about you, and what the legend of your father has meant to you all these years.

We will begin shooting the documentary the end of January, if you are available, and open to meeting please contact the production office at 305-674-4396 or Jerry Jacoby at 305-951-6590.

All the best to you Wylie and Happy New Year.

Sheri
