26' Ex-Race Boat....anyone recognize this type of boat????

Anyone recognize this hull/boat. From the history I can gather my Dad bought it used in 1979 in Pompono Beach, FL. He said that it was titled as a 1976 26' Custom. It measures 25'10" and the most unique part about the boat is the v-drive.

This windshield was not on the boat when my father owned the boat. When he bought it in FL it was used as a race boat and the name on the side was "Warlord."

Does anyone know what it is????

I found it for sale and am trying to figure out if the price is right and whether I want to restore it.

What would you guess this boat is worth. The guy is asking $3800 with no trailer. He says the motor runs.

Whatever it is it looks like they sold the mold to Baja to make there 260 from the early 80's-mid90's.

its in Wadhams, MI i believe. My brother took the pics, so he knows what city its in.

I just want to make sure I'm not paying too much for it. The guy that has it says he got it from a marina. The boat needs some TLC and I haven't checked the hull yet for weak spots, but I always said if I could find it again I would buy it and restore to the condition when my Dad owned it.

I know the guy who own's it was a friend of on of my X employes, That boat was floating around the Algonac area for years but nobody every did anything with it.

why would someone just leave this boat. I must assume it was storage fees that pilled up and they just decided to leave it.

I still wish I could find a hull like this one to learn more about its history and evaluate whether it is worth something. Sentimentally it priceless.
