The tall deck was also used as a 454 (Bowtie block).
I had one 961 block lying around few years ago and after checking into it I decided I need at least more wall thickness to feel safe. 4.251+125= 4.46, a 502 is 4.466 (+060 over) so I thought a 502 with a stroker crank does it for me plus I have then additional overbore chances.
