Unique cat owned by the marina owner. Someone said it was a Maelstrom. It had a flawless woodgrain finish on the deck. As well as plenty of hp.

Brownie, were you involved with Cary on the 49 / 50'? Remember in my wasted youth (mid-70's) seeing one with a tall walk-thru windshield with fold-back pieces and a huge stainless & teak helm wheel. Were many made like this....haven't seen one quite like since?

Here's one many have fogot about, Triton Marine a trimaran hull. They raced in P class, around 1982, never caught on like the cat's did.

The year 1975 Offshore Racing on Lake St Clair was becoming very popular, boat's like Lil Rhino, Wolverine, & L'IL SMIDGEN were the boat's to beat ! I thought I could run with the big boy's with my 24' Cheetah 454 jet boat in modified class M-77. What was I thinking !! But the cool thing was I got to race against the Great's Like Wally Harper, Pete Smith,& many more and that's PRICELESS .
