what ever became of Wellman?

Stealth Race Cat
Not a famous wooden Cougar, but one built here in New Zealand in 1977, has had many owners, me being one, many engines and a lot of repairs, was still racing up until last year

I've lived in Cape Coral since the mid 70's and remember, vividly, the boat races into the mid 80's. Everyone would be tied up at the Cape Coral Yacht Club for the weekend. Wow, fun times. That's what got me hooked in offshore racing. I've got some pics of the wet pits at the yacht club from either 82 or 83, will scan and post soon. Thanks to you all for sharing your memories and photos with the rest of us!
Cheers - Matt

Hey Charlie, greetings! Is there news on the restoration?
