The story on pages 11 and 12 of the Cig 36' race boat section reminded me... Did Mich Light get to stay a race boat or is she currently getting chopped up?

Rat told me it was going to a guy who was planning a full restoration under the original Michelob Light scheme

According to Rat, that individual did not end up with the boat.

I really wanted it but in the end, I couldn't swing 2 ongoing projects AND the divorce I'd have been confronted with.

The person that bought it brought his guy with him to buy it- supposedly the individual has done resto work on classics previously. It would be great to see a handful of these dinosaurs restored back to original and put to use as pace boats at races, etc.

I have seen the boat during it's new restoration and it looks great painted white and ready for it's classic paint job. The owners are private people, so he can post if he wants to. Hey RATMAN and the guy in N.C. SEND THE ENGINE MOUNTS. He needs the rest of the pieces for fitting and powwdercoating.

That's good news! I hope we get to see pics of it as it progesses!

Chris, I really liked the boat as well and I've come close to buying another vintage race boat but if I'd bought it, I'd currently have one project and an impending divorce! (Not to make light of your situation, but it would bem solely from buying a race boat project!)

Yes of course it's true, The boat is being restored right now and looks good. There will be a beautiful 35' cigarette 1973 ( the daddy cool boat) for sale soon. I will let the owners post information when they are ready.(Remember the private part.) I guess people bend the truth in Spain< I will remember that when dealing with anyone from your country. jay.
