HORBA Labor Day weekend project
If you find time on your hands on this Labor Day weekend......we really need some help for a resto project.
The Magnum described in the other thread, the 29' 9" Vaughn Szarka boat, was featured in Powerboat Magazine sometime in 1976 or 1977.
Would someone please look through their old stacks of Powerboat and see if they can find the article.
This accuracy in restoration is really what makes these old boats worth doing......so today's generation can see what they actually looked like back in the day.
Many thanks.......Hey, maybe the guy doing the project will name his kid after you if you are the finder of the article..??

I found a classified article in '78 selling it for 25k/offers, I am missing two issues in '76 & '77 I will look further. While searching I saw an advertisement for a mouth watering banana split, Charlie.

Magnum 29'9
I am the person who located Vaughn's 29'9 the Head Hunter, and it is currently at Roger Munn's shop in Naples. No one ever located the article in Power Boat mag.from 1976-77however have spoken to James Armington who sold it to Vaughn,it then was called Thumper Two, If you have Vaughn's e-mail or phone # that would be helpful.
