Any big Checkmate fans?

Hi y'all,

Bought this 28' from Oneida Lake, NY area a couple of months ago, and wondering if anyone recognizes the name "SUCKS TO BE POOR"...the previous owner says it was laid up for a few years.

The 1989 Maxxum 281 factory 454's were long gone, but the original Bravo uppers # match up with the transom plates. Gimbals and lowers have been changed out. There's some nifty guages and switches new to me - dual and differential tachs?

I'm refreshing it this winter, so any history would be great - the hull, interior, engine bay, stringers look like they have 10 yrs wear.
