Many Thanks!
It appears in the same conditions of today.
What I don't understand why it was repainted in his original orange after having been in dark blue for some years.

Seems to me it might have never changed, even the Merc decals forward of numbers are the same.

Here is a little More history on the "Bubbledecks"
The Blue 39' "Halter racing" was the first of (2) (To our Knowledge) "Bubbledeck" Boats built. My Father ran the Blue 39' Halter racing for Halter, while Training his replacements for retirement. My Father asked Cigarette to build him another, making the boat lighter, this was the red Bounty Hunter. Unfortunatly the boat did not come out lighter but in fact heavier. No Matter what he did at that time, he could only get the red boat to go 85mph. It didnt matter if it had 300 gallons of fuel or 20 gallons of fuel, Things that were tweaked to make the boat faster, had no effect on the overall speed. He was retiring from racing and was in his last Official year of offshore experimenting with the red Boat. The Red Bounty Hunter 39' was sold to Fayva Shoes. The reason you see Fayva shoes on the side of the Blue Halter, is because we believe Fayva leased the boat for a season from copeland.

So the blue bubble deck became the Popeyes boat (the one that pops up on ebay occationally)???
Or,...after re-reading the above post, Fayva leased the bubble deck from Mr Copeland after it was raced as a Popeyes boat?

85mph or not - I'd still give my right arm to own such a glorious piece of machinery/design.

But the 39' Popeyes was white....and if I don't remember badly runs in the same 1982 of 39' blue Fayva....
Surely the 39' red was repainted one time or in blue or in white.
Or there were three 39' bubbledeck?
