We still have a few Mirage powerboats here on Lake St Clair 30+ years later. Many that raced Back In The Day are now enjoying there retirement here on the lake. To see more go to this thread here on OSO, and see the one's that came to our reunion this last June. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=150875

desert dweller,
I think we took your brother Scott out for a 100+mph blast in some rough water a few weeks back, he said something about scratching that off of his bucket list afterwards.

Stay out past the outer Salt River buoys, than follow the weed line around the bay. There is 5 to 6 feet of water about 800 feet from the seawalls.. Look out for weeds & cattails out in front of your old house. Your Apache cat is just the wake up call needed on Harbor dr. It hasn't been the same since the Magnums, Active cats, & half of the Mirages left !!!!

You must be the guy that was thinking of buying it
That 47 is the top of the food chain for wave crushing V-bottoms.

thought you meant the Apache- you meant the scarab.sorry. actually 38' is way too much boat for the puddles in the desert. I'd never get enough air under that beast to keep from falling asleep at the wheel.
