From the Ad
Sell or Trade, 36' Cigarette Mistress.....Heres a chance to Own a Real Classic.. Needs Restored.. 36' Cigarette Offshore..It was Cigarettes Racing Teams Race boat back in the "70s" early "80s".. This Race boat has changed thru the years. Has been made into a Private persons plessure boat. It needs alot of work. Interior, Paint, Drivetrain. The Hull is in very solid, the stringers appear to be solid and strong..... It also comes with the Original Race Teams Custom Built Triple Axle Trailer for that boat. CALL me for any Info. 419-917-3600 Would like to sell it for cash, but will trade.

Too much few to understand something. Would want us an image of the stern, of the deck or of the cockpit.....
Then The ads is as often in this cases bungling.
If it is a 36'Mistress it was not a racing boat.
Then without remarkable history in the competitions.

Nice to see a '36 still in the water. I think that Slap Shot was one of Gentrys boats before it became Slap Shot. Is this boat for sale or someting?

According to John Crouse before becoming Slap Shot that 36' was the Aronow boat which he wanted to back to competition in 1972.
Aronow then changed his mind and sold it to Norris, who maintained the Don's # 2 race number.

Slap Shot/Dirty Pearl question-The owner of Dirty Pearl claims the boat is made of Kevlar, I thought Cigarette was still using Polyester back in 1971 or 72 when the boat was made. When Kevlar first came out, it was referred to as "Kevlar 49". The first Bertram made of Kevlar 49 was Copper Kettle, 1978? What was the first Cigarette made of Kevlar???

I dont think so, my understanding is that the 39' bubble deck, Bounty Hunter was the first Kevlar consytructed Cigarette, built in 78/79
