Well Joe,
She is being rebuilt/refurbished for a re-launch in April/May this year to compete in Marathon Offshore Racing, I want her in the livery of "Double 2 Shirts" as attached pictures. (From Flying Fish's collection) She's a good looking boat considering she's 35 years old!

Martin,
Being a diesel-ite and Buzzi-ite myself, I always loved the fact that with not much dock appeal we could kick butt. I'm a man that loves the underdog myself. If I didn't, I would have put a Merc in my own boats and gone racing instead of bucking the system with diesels!!!
I loved your boat and now it's really looking good!
My opinion of Yank offshore racing is there is little if any at all ingenuity left. You Europeans always had one off of everything from engines, drives, boats, etc. I like that, it's man and his own machine against another man and the machine that he made!!!! Not all this store brought equal Merc powered crap!!!!
That is not racing, make rules and figure out how to get the most out of those rules without crossing over the line and let people design what they want - that's racing!!!!

ps Martin, what is in her for power now?

Joe,
im putting 2x625 hp 502's and if they dont work, we're going to go bigger!
Cant afford new engines so I have imported a repowered Scarab Panther from your side of the pond and the engines are coming out of her into Double 2 Shirts and then selling the Scarab on Ebay
(Sorry American Scarab Fans)

Hey fish! You're right about the copyright issues! Such a shame that we can't all just share and share-alike! All those glorious old boats - in pristine colour! But we can't copy them without the stamp across the image - how about it Charlie?!

Hello Flying Fish, was this an official DVD of the '89 race? I would love to get hold of a copy if you can let me have contact details of where to get it.
Cheers

89 Worlds Dvd
The DVD is one transfered from a VHS tape. The original is one I bought from `Needlenose` whose tapes have been bought by `Big Seas Productions` I think.Anyway the details are on the HORBA website. Not sure if this particular tape has been transferred for general release. It`s a cracking tape full of proper rough sea action with sinkings etc.I suspect only selected Needlenose tapes have been converted to DVD as their library was quite extensive.
