Thats a great old school picture!
Thanks Dd if I knew I would of took a hell of alot more picks.

Just think thats the first time going to a race or even seeing boats that big,I had just bought a 28 Scarab,my first boat and I only knew about cars then,This was a new world for me,I wish I grew up in the offshore boats instead of drag car and showing cars.I guess thats part of living in Ms.The water was bad that day,4ft to 6's the 6 would splash over the bow ,the back would come up to the sun pad and we had been on Bourbon street all night,I even took some video, but it was sky and water.there was like 3 other boats out there, hell we didn't know any better, that was our first trip on big lake.I remember Dirty Laundry standing it on it ass, straight up,broke a drive loose making a higher rooster tail.I remember his average lap speed for the race was 104.I remember Circus circus had a big display and were real susceptible to the fans. The lake back then stunk, the sign at the ramp said do not eat the fish out of this lake.Things have change since then,

I went a PRI show with Jeff Crooper ,Richie Zul and Jeff's bro, Timmy was working for John Pompie(sp?) we hooked up with John ,he had picks of him and Aronow ruining the boats etc ,he said he had boxes of pictures from back then,I sure wish I could get ahold of them, scan them and post them here,I bet there is alot of the older guys from back then that have photos,Sure would be neet to see them.

Still wet behind the ears,

Rob

DisturbedVelo22 I didn't get any, I do remember watching it on TV back then.It was a short shot of it,Ya might could find who was filming it?

I can do it for you. I bought a DVD/VCR just to record my race tapes. Here's some samples of the quality. No charge, I just get to keep a copy for myself.

I'll have to talk to him about it. Not that I don't trust you, its just they're his prized possessions. Even though we can't currently watch them............

You hear the Engines, Helicopter noise - and narration LIVE - as that is how we filmed races - not over dubbed in a studio - we brought to you exactly what we saw and heard - do ya think ours is more realistic ?

Glad you enjoy our work - speak to T2X Rich Luhrs for any and all events - he has the Library - or ask Darren - Oh - one other thing - I did edit the films with the sound turned off - I had enough the first time in the Helicopter ! haha !

Brian,

I really don't want to step on anyones toes. Phil Lewis and Rich Luhrs put their heart and soul into these productions (assuming your are Needle Nose). I don't mind doing it for you, because the purpose is to preserve something you have already purchased. Rich has most of the original library available, and from what I have heard the quality is amazing. Unfortunately I can't afford to go back and purchase all of my old races on DVD. My focus and money are both going to my wifes health. Making a copy is easy, I just hit 1 button. But please understand that it's a copy for you. Not for resale.
