Mirage Boat Company History

Anyone know the beginnings of Mirage boats that were made in the 70's and 80's? Who built them? Where? What sizes, etc?

Cortez was a heck of a guy. The 36 was one of the best riding boats. The 29 was made famous with raceboats like "Lil Rhino" and "Wolverine"

After Rob and Pat, I recall the boat being campaigned as ‘Hauling Glass’, in the mid 90s. I also remember it being a twin engine “A” boat, when it was called “Kamakizi”, and then a “A” and the “B” boat as ‘Hauling Glass’ due to the rules changing to toss twin engine boats out of “A” class. I do remember it being a completive “A” boat.

Ran as A-33 “Kamakizi” 90,91 & 92
I think it was A-32 Hauling Glass by 93

I do not recall them running against Fever, who was in “B” class. But the time we all got moved to “B” class (1995 season), Joe S. was driving for Peter Meyer in Instigator (the activator, then the fountain).
