This is a copy of a PM that I sent to a 28 owner who asked me the same question...
Be careful when you are in rough water. If youa re overtrimmed and trip n a wave, the 28 will not stuff... what it does is worse. It hooks to the right or left and will turn on its side. This has happened a number of times and Bob S. ended up in a lawsuit over this... Its funny how he immediatly sold the molds to Eric. Soon after we got together and started cherokee. On the day before the 1996 Miami Boat Show, we were testing a boat called Un-Tamable. The boat was powered with 2 hp-500's. Eric was driving and I in the pass. bolster. It was rough... Just off Haulover. Eric tripped the boat and we turned to the port. I flew out of the bolster and into Eric breaking 3 of his ribs. I awoke in the hospital with a severe brain inj and facial lacerations from where i struck the switches in the dash panel. It was after this accident that all the stories of this happening to several others started to surface...
The 28 can be a fun boat as long as you are careful in the rough water. I hope this helps.... stay safe
Todd
By the way, despite Eric's and my bad feelings about each other, I must acknowledge that, while he was severely injured and I unconscious, he still managed to get us in to shore and call rescue. He did save my life and for that I am grateful.

Yeah......that was me.......thanks.
As long as there are 40ft skaters that keep fliping or stuffing during poker runs, or $300K+ cigarettes that can't even handle a slow speed turn......then EVERY BOAT WILL HAVE ITS LIMITATIONS.

I agree.. but when it comes to the 28, I take these a bit personally for obvious reasons.
