I just got back from the atlantic city nj car auction and there was an old 78 olds nascar? that had Halpren enterprises on the sides and Joel on the door. Same guy as the boat racer?
Yes. Both Joel Halpern and Bill Elswick (Long Shot) were involved in stock car racing. Bill had an eleventh place finish in the in Daytona in 1981. Harold Grady, of Rahilly Grady Engines built Bill's motors. They were stong on both land and sea.
