Well back to this 27 Aronow cat, when it was rough out , it rode even better, but when it was crazy rough and windy ( a typical long island ocean day ) thats when it was really amazing, when everybody is getting the crap kicked out of them( I don`t care how big the boat was ) the Cat would like just get boosted and take off ,I mean it was the greatist. no B.S.

Don't let that self proclaimed cat expert tx2 hear this, he claims those cats were the worst riding cats ever (though doubtful he ever ride in one)

I can't belive that this was a 'true' cat - i.e. not a split vee hull. When you see the shot from sweden it looks precisely like a split vee. And the tunnel!! WAY too narrow and shallow for my money. I'm not disputing what Cheese is saying about the boat - I have zero knowledge about it. But can anyone confirm whether it was designed from scratch as a cat or a split vee? Thanks.

When turning it leaned into the turn, I never had it do the opposite, no scary stuff,it would turn on a dime, I left many a Jet Skier crapping in thier pants when they cut me off, I missed everyone of them,I had the boat for7 years or so,stock 330`s + Bravos was 65mph. it felt confidence inspiring in 8 to 10 foot seas , 4 to 6 foot seas was nothing+ it picked up a couple of mphs. My seating arrangement and dash was completely different from the boat pictured on the link but the rest was the same , wide + deep tunnel in the bow , narrow + shallow tunnel in the stern, center pod about 8 inches deep and 8 feet long.

Despite the Tunnel being narrow it Might work still on higher speed as the sponsons are deep and thisway packs a lot of air under them I believe at 65mph it should be one hellofa stable cat and really forgiving too plus easy to run with stock power.

Not a Fast cat by any means but fast enough to let your family enjoy it and I think that was what Aronow was after.

I would choose this type of cat over any Fountain and still keep up with them easily...
Oh and if you want a faster and easy maintenance pleasurecat then enter Skater 28.

Hello all,
I'm driving a 35 Cafe and want to try a cat on the cheap so to speak. This bad boy is up for sale again. Any other comments? I really just want something that will do 60 mph in 4-5 footers and not get everyone's back out of whack! Truly my chiropractor just loves V hulls, thanks

Speaking of Cafe's I may be interested in selling mine. Super clean.

4 to 5 footers here at Jones inlet is a small day, the boat would ride over them , you would not even feel them , nobody would believe what that boat could take .
