I just spoke to Bob last week. Kathy and Bob always speak very highly of you. I know she even did some voice over work for NNRT. You once told me that offshore racing just as much an exhibition as it was a sport, but what an exhibition it was!
Sincerely,
John

You are right about Kathy doing work for us - she did Many races in this country - Including the 1989 Battle on the Seas from Key West - and others in Michigan too - Also the 1986 UIM event in Auckland, New Zealand, as well at Gurensey UIM Championship in 1988 - and Cowes Torquay Cowes as well - I am sure she could relate many many stories - She should write a book - named - "Steering Straight in a Crooked Sport" or as has been said - "this exibition of ego, which as turned into a Wallet Check"
whoops - dont wind me up ! was just getting started !

Back in the 90's a 32' boat by the name of Parranda was raced in PR, I think it was orange color of red. It was the painted blue, and raced under the name of Wrangler. Someone once mentioned that the boat used to be the Man o War boat.

818181,
Paul Palmentera in Cleveland currently owns
"Blade Runner" which in fact is "Gold Rush".

The next possibility would be "Renegade" ! Another Cobra
to consider. Originally throttled by the " Magic Throttle Arm"
prior to his Apache fame...............................................

Bob S. rigged the boat at Race HQ but I dont think he ever throttled it. Rick Smith(owner) throttled, Roger Munn drove and Jay Busigleo navigated... then Ed Martinez joined the team to replace Roger.
Ex OPBRA(and my) Vice President Bob Filipino was the crew chief.

I did find some outlines of "Skulls", underneath back cleats. I went under the deck to see if any marking's, but no luck. Does anyone know how many Cobra's are still around?
