Mange it would be truly wonderful to see the boat at Cowes - I'm sure that she will fit into some category or other. Keep tabs on the www.britishpowerboatracingclub.co.uk and www.classicoffshore.com . Other than that keep dropping by the boatmad website for the latest info.

Hey Richie - it would be a thrill for me to meet up again and talk over the old days. I sure hope you get to come over to play - wouldn't be the same without my hero there! Keep us posted!!! (Did you know that the 35' cig Dry Martini is en route to the UK? She will be there!! - it's going to be unbelievable).

Nigel my 1973 Magnum Sedan has had many names over the years. But in it's first life it was the Red Baron also with the Snoopy logo, small world.. I hope to bring her back to the condition she was, back in the day..

HORBA has been in touch with some of the organizers of both the Around Ireland Race for next June 2010 and the organizers for the Cowes race in August 2010.

We are trying to get an accurate boat count so that we can negotiate a great rate for the transportation over and back.

If anyone is serious about making the trip to either or both, let me know. They will provide storage between events for those who attend both.

Red Baron with the Snoopy was also an old 32' Cigarette Boss O'Nova II of Bill Wishnick.....

Nigel, The penalty for supercharged engines - I assume it's 1.6 times the volume by looking at the regulations?

1.6 is the way I understand it also.

I gather that the speed limit was removed at a recent ORC meeting for the Historic Class but that change has yet to be published on the RYA web site / updates.

John Moore will be the contact from the published info. If there is a delay in the replies I suspect they could be a bit busy at the moment putting the final touches to the South Coast Marathon. Which runs in a couple of weeks.

We/ I will be running in ABO/D2S/Diesel Dancer which has appeared on a thread or two here in the past. Re-engined back to petrols with a new set of Konrad drives. Still a way off finishing it but in a much better position than this time last year.
