Default (Short) Video from Japan

Unfortunately the interesting part lasts only 30 seconds but I'm sure you will recognize a boat or two (starts at 3.07):

Its for sure an Old film- David Street's WILD CAT among others is there - also I recognized a young - Mr. Kojima in the crowd from KE Marine - we filmed for him two races in the early 1990s - last I heard years ago, he was on the run in China -

Harold Smitty Smith was he crew chief and throttle man then - Bob Idoni was also there working as well.

Contact Tx2 for videos of two different races we filmed in Japan - you will see many more familiar boats too -

I think the Wild Cat Apache had its last race in early '94. They went on with a 40' Skater.
Kojima Engineering was one of the main Sponsors there until a year ago. They had some impressive machinery like a 41' Apache Cat and 1 or two Cougars among others. As far as I know they used 2 35' Jaguars and a Hydrolift in the end.
As you mention the US throttlemen I was surprised to see that especially in the early years they do not appear in the records although my impression was that they were very proud to have the stars over there.
