Your black and gold "Express" Carrera was a great looking and running boat!I remember seeing great pictures of your boat flying from swell to swell.Where is that boat now?

Definitely one of the roughest! We came in first in P-Class and first overall. Bill G, Steve and The Spin.

There were 44 boats registered in the Production class. Only 12 finished! Three were scratched,one did not start, Three SUNK!, and the rest Did not finish.
Thats what happens when you go "OFFSHORE" to have an Offshore race.

OPA still races in the same water as the Hennessy-the Atlantic Ocean off Point Pleasant NJ.

It may be the same water and same shoreline but they dont run the same course. They used to run to Fire Island and back, in the ocean. No land in sight for a few hours. Thats why it was called OFFSHORE. The course was over 200 miles if I remember correctly.
