Default 261 Liberator question

So I am new to the site and realize I am running old technologiy but it gets me out. The question I have is the boat gets out of the hole nice but it only revs out at 4200 RPM. Its a 261 fourwinns with twin 350 mercs alpha one. I hit 61 mph on GPS but I know my revs should be higher. What I dont know is 61mph good for this boat or should I worry more about lugging the engines down? It is running 23 pitch ballistics right now. I have never seen nor heard of these props. Should I drop back to a 21 ss mirage or what? Thanks.....Jeff

You are not very far off on speed or RPM.....Motors may be a little tired..Tune-up ? trim ? Extra weight ? hull could be a little wet ? Props perfect ? No nicks etc...Bottom clean ?

I have twin 350 mags in mine and that is about all I get, too. They run out around 4300-4400. These are old heavy boats, not exactly built to be speed demons.
