Very Cool Charlie.Good to see one 32 Cary salvaged to make a replica of the Cigarette.

Heading to Italy next week where we stay only a couple miles from where the 1st 36 built sits rotting on the side of a mountain.

Charlie,

Will you be bringing the Cary to Cadillac's place for OFF? I'd love to see it, both with my eyes and through the lens of my camera!

Hope you're doing well.

Harry

It wasn't until I realised that this old beauty was a Cary 32' that I appreciated what a stunning looking boat the 32' is...............was this the only tandem cockpit configuration? I suspect so! Anybody know what happened to it before or after? Boarhog? Memco?

Nigel, the outboards versions of the Cary 32' were distinguished by having the sides lower than the 32' with inboards engines.
There are two proven versions of the 32' with seats in tandem.
One is the most famous in Europe was Cigarillo in 1970-73 without knowing the future after 1973.
Most famous in the U.S. was the last "Andrea" of Dr. Magoon in 1969-70. The latter was then drove in subsequent years by Matheson and the future creator of the Scarabs boats Larry Smith .
Nothing to do with Boarhog and Memco.
