Come 'on guys. Somebody has to know of a wiring diagram that involves a voltmeter... right?

Well that is confusing. Does the + big ass cable from the battery go directly to the starter or not?

The volt meter can hook to any (+) wire that turns on with the ignition switch. once the ign is on it is all basicly the same circuit to and from the battery. it doesnt matter where you put it like an ammeter does. any + & - that is tuned on/off by the ign will work.

Here is a easy way to think of it. Amp gage was in series, volt gage is parallel. They work completly different.

Yeah, got that figured out, what I am struggling with is hte shift cutout switch. It is normally OPEN. How do I get the ignition to cut out with it? I have an HEI, remember.
