Default Don Aronow Around Long Island Marathon 2012

We have decided to open the entry up to boats that are turbine powered.

We are still closed to any boats with canopies, but open turbine boats will be accepted. We have two northern boats that have wanted to compete for a while and now they can.

Race is Sept 22, 2012. The Don Aronow Around Long Island Marathon is 271 miles (Refueling allowed)

A new 100 mile race will start with the entrants above and end at Orient Point. It is called The Bill Wishnick Memorial Trophy Dash, in honor of the World Champion Bill Wishnick
.

We set the date a long time ago so that it would not be a conflict with any other race group.

This is totally different type of racing, it is the original offshore style...... this is what made the boats the world enjoys today. Winning is nice, but if you compete and finish, you have something that you accomplished in your life that you can be proud of.

Anything we can do to help you get ready for the event, let us know and we will do all we can. Thanks for supporting real open ocean racing.

Turbines, awesome!!!!!!
Which turbine boats are going to be there?
I am starting to think I might need to put in two turbines instead of one, this could be fun!
