Default Anyone out there own a Mach 1??

I have a Mach 1 by felt industries made in 1986. i have owned the boat for two years and have stripped everything from this boat and rebuilt from the hull up. I cannot find anyone to give me a value on this boat and was wondering if anyone else out there has ever owned one or know of any information about them. any advice??

Nate,
Do you know where Felt Industries is/was located? There were some boats built in Zeeland, MI back about that timeframe, that said "Mach I" or "Ultra I" on them. The people that owned the business' name was Bowens I believe. Not sure if it could be the same outfit or not.

im not sure where they were built. I have been trying to gather up all the information I can about the boat and from what i have been hearing is that they are produced from freedom boats which was later bought out by baja. the boat has never been in the water since i have owned it but i have rebuilt the twin chevy 350 motors and rebuilt the outdrives and i am curious what to expect when this thing hits the water, ya know?

Default Mach 1 in the Classic Offshore section?

A better topic section would be Beware and Stolen!

Felt Industries' plant was in Monmouth, IL. They were bought
by Freedom Boats then some models resurrected under the
Baha Cruisers' banner. Entry level boats at best and the
reason they went belly up and were bought up several times.
Search Mach 1 here or my user name and you will get some
history and additional info.

I learned a valuable lesson early which is why I own a Cobalt
now. Some people have a differing opinion then mine.
My idea of fun is not rebuilding a wood structure boat over
and over. But hey - that's just me.

Nada guides has all the info you are looking for as far as a used
boat price guide. BucValu also.

Negative info to one is merely a hard learned lesson to
another. Don't like it? Go ask your Mommy for a hug.

Would the guys who got ripped off by Pantera liked to have
known about the company's previous shenanigans?

How about the folks who lost money with Fred Cecil?

Ask Born2burn, Ausbullet, CFM or any of the Boatfreaks if they
can recommend a cam picker NOT to use!

Yes. Negative info. But I am sure some people would have
paid for said information ahead of time. But once again. That's
just me. Maybe I'm wrong.

I have owned for 10 years a 1990 Mach 1 - 290 or 29ft with twin 350 mags, 300hp - alpha outdrives - entry level boat but always runs - have put as much as 100 hours in a season - have had a lot of fun in it - you should get around 60 mph or a bit better - it's a heavy hull - my mechanic thinks best bang for the buck - I ride alot more in the past couple of years on other boats so I don't put as many hours on it as I once did
