Turkish Express "Tin" boat at Punkie's Palace
Well Turkish Express has been at Punkie's Palace in Divernon, IL off I-55 for a few months now. So I stopped to take some pics today.
This baby is all aluminum. These things must last forever if they don't get chopped up for scrap! Scary to think about.... The nose cones are pieces of wood for ramming docks lol.
Anyone got details on this baby? How fast are they? Where do all of the old Lambo V12s go? How much do they weigh?
If I had a barn and mountain of cash, I'd love to fix this baby up.
Sorry for the crappy Iphone pics, it wasn't late enough in the afternoon to get good pics on it.
71 corvette on the trailer will be auctioned at bloomington gold on the 23rd. Bid early and bid often! Contribute to my dad's boat fund!

38 Cougar Cat. I watched that boat race many times. It was Chairman of the board and then Turkish Express. It always had a very cool sound with the V12's.
My good friend Paul Smith had a 38 Cougar as well and it was incredible. His was powered 572 Blower motors and would cruise in the mid 90's with a top end of 130.
A tremendous rough water boat. When the tunnel was packed with air a two foot wave would just pass right through the tunnel and the boat felt like a magic carpet.

Here is a run in the Cougar from back in 2008. I did it with a cell phone at 90 plus. Look at how smooth it rode.
