I can remember seeing a white 30ft Velocity on Miami Vice season 2 Episode: French Twist 2/21/86 It was on the last 35mins of the TV show.

B Fast spun out once & broke the navigators hip at a Michigan race 
At the Key West Worlds she spun again this time the new navigator was thrown out. Before he could be pulled out of the water,, race boats were turning on his orange helmet, 
hence he became know as Louie the Buoy.

We had one brought to us, probably about 10 years ago...it was all red, 3 man race boat. I forget the name. Owner complained that it was spin happy. A few talks with Steve, a few white nuckle test drives (had to try and force it to spin
) and 2 drive spacers later it handled great.
