Default Formula 242...looking

I am in the market for a 242. I love the look of the 86, but open to newer. Not looking to restore. I want a real clean one. I see one for sale, an 88 that says redone by Metan. Is it worth the extra money? Any help locating one will be greatly appreciated thanks!

I'm looking for a boat like this as well. And, not to thread jack, but I was wondering what the pros and cons would be to a boat of this age compared to something like a Baja Islander 232 from 95-99? I think the Formula 242 is a better looking boat, and they are cheaper but somebody please tell me the "bad" of going with an older boat. And, to the OP, I did find the boat below you might be interested in:

Well with any older boat you can have problems most start with not being maintained. A good survey will help it will tell you if the engine has good compression, to telling you if the transom is wet.
These are great boats not the fastest but well built solid hulls. The hull is a 24 degree some of the Baja`s and others will have 22 degree hull and most likely a higher x dimension will make it a little faster.
Go take a ride and find out. The last two Craigslist postings look very nice. Good luck on your hunt also check out the Formula section you may find more info.

Figured I better update as I bought a 1986 242LS out in Illinois around Feb. this year. No longer looking. Bought it from 86242ls, and it is super clean.
