I own an old 23 CC. Heavy/bulletproof is a pretty good description. classicseacraft has lots of reading available for you. Decks/transom rot is an issue as is the original deck drains through the hull bottom.

this is not the usual 23 ft. it is a 25 ft. with 25 degree deadrise. The cockpit drains out the sides of the boat.
