Default help identify this boat

Hello new to the forum. I've been searching for a while and have found what I've been told is a 27 foot 1968 Magnum. I was hoping someone on here could help me out on identifying it. Or if there is a hull identification some where on it. I have some photos I could send you. Having trouble trying to post them.

original color was yellow with "Smoker 1 S-33" down the sides

Thanks
John

Look on the transom, top starboard corner right under the rub rail. Should say MAG 27 001 0168 if it was hull #1 built in Jan of 1968. Is it a sport or sedan? Power? Drives?

The only identification number you will find is under the dash.
It will be written in black marker. Open the access panel and it will most likely be on the side.

I had this responce from another forum member

"John,
I'm pretty sure this is NOT a Magnum. Sorry.
1) The strakes are different leading up to the bow. Check pics of the next two post here on the Magnum forum.
2) About 12" down from the deck the Magnums have a distinct "chine line" running the length of the hull-your boat does not have this.
To me, it looks more like a Formula. If you post this on the Classic Forum, "Brownie" use to work at Magnum- and a dozen other companies, and will be able to give you more information.
Good Luck!
Bob"
