I haven't taking it off yet. I heard it was "bad Luck" to change the name. Most people get a laugh about it.

I hear yah on the luck thing. When I bought my 1982 26 Nova, I pulled the teak floor over the fuel tank out and refinished it. When I pulled it out, my buddy next to me shouts out "Check it out free money!" There was a quarter and a penny with 1982 dates taped to the top of the tank. 26 cents from 1982 in my 1982 26 Nova, I left it right there. And to be honest with you, its been the best boat I've ever owned.

Are you going to try and spin 6000 as your peak RPM? For a comparison, I am turning 23 pitch Mirage's to about 5300 with 500HP (estimated). I would think starting with 25 pitch Mirages and possibly labbing them to bring up RPM if you needed to. As another data point, with a clean bottom I am only getting about 8-10% slip.
