Forget both of them and buy the only boat you'll ever need.....an Apache 41.....it's what they call an apex predetor!

The Cig sounded better when I was reading, then I saw the picture with the name on the side of the Scarab...go Cig. It sounds better all-around and as said before, it has better curb appeal with the clean graphics.

Get ya copy of the "Miami Vice" soundtrack, crank it up and live the dream!

(I'm a Scarab guy to the core, but these boat are almost identical--Cig looks better maintained, so.....)

zombie I went thru this exact dilemma with my last purchase of go fast…
couldn't decide between the 35 cig mistress flat deck and the Scarab 38 KV flat deck… if one appeals to your heart more then probably get that one however what matters most is what is available at the time.. .buy on condition power and build. when I was in the market the mistress was in way nicer condition than any KV scarab I could find. also it had better power and went faster!! there is something about the cig feel and cachet too.. however 38 scarabs are known for their big water handling and ride.. Personally for me as I have an early mistress the mahogany cockpit and low wind deflector drips with old school class.. so its really about timing and personal taste. both of those boats look good .so you can't lose!
