Default Original owner of a 30' Schiada . Re-power or just let it fade away ?

I raced Schiada Sea's from 1990 to 2001 . At the end she was a F16 canopy boat. Never liked it. To much of a Video game feel. So I cut the deck back out and she went into storage.

Every day I see the covered boat and something inside me says, you need to redo that deck and get the boat back running again ! She will need a new deck and cockpit, renewed motors .

She was powered by 2 high strung smallblock's 377's at 600+hp.But I'm think a set of SBC 427's with 9 to 1 and fuel Injection would be the way to go.

For seating I'm think 2 side by side and rear bench seat. (3 or 4 )?

List.

Re-do trailer, tires, rims, brakes and rewire.
Build motors.
Add Fuel Injection (after market Throttle body) maybe control the ignition also ? Have a good MSD system but its older.
Build deck and cockpit.
General re-rigging.

I'm going to be 66 . But still 24 inside. Should I even think about this ?

Here some old photos of my girl.

Thanks for the input. Randy

You know you'll never be even close to getting your money back but is that what's important to you right now?

Some people spend their retirement travelling, some keep squandering their money so they can leave more for their kids, some sit and do nothing but some just go and do something stupid because it will make them happy and that's the best way to go!

Yeah, what rak rua said…

Put it back together the way it makes YOU happy and enjoy it. There's way too much cool there to never float again.

Please keep us up to speed on the build.

Take your time and build it the way that makes you happy. The pay off on these is the time creating. nobody ever gets their $$$$ back. Just a great ride and the pride that you built it
