1999 Cobalt 206
Wow! Our own forum!

Lets use it so we don't lose it!

I've got a Candied Red '99 206 with a 350 Magnum. I live on an inland lake in Michigan and occassionaly trailer to Lake St. Clair or Lake Erie. Great boat. Their is an 18' Donzi Classic on our lake that I can run with, some days he gets me, somedays I get him. The difference when we're racing is is I can sit and watch the world go by and he's hanging on for dear life.

I've got a 3 year old and a 4 year old, when they get a little older I want to take them overnighting so I'll be looking for something bigger with a cuddy, I'll have to start looking for a 263 Cobalt.

What other Cobalts are out there?

I'm runnin' a '97 220 with a 7.4 duoprop on LOTO. It does allright there... until the sun comes up

On the off weekends it's not too bad and it makes for a helluva ski boat. Working on a Cig to set along side her.

and bravo 3. Runs pretty well, about 60 mph.
Boat on Barnegat Bay in NJ, gets choppy, boat handles it pretty well.

Fun Runs

It looks like most of the Cobalt owners are from the midwest. Do any of your dealers (or anybody else for that matter) do a good fun run or Cobalt owners run? My dealer did one a couple years ago in northern MI, we probably had 10 boats. The following year the Cobalt line went to another dealer and they have not done anything since.

I run a 220 with 496 HO B3 x on Lake Joseph in Ontario. Gets up on a plane incredibly fast and when the Capt's call is opened, away from shore, sounds great

In the Slow Lane
You would love my (lake) neighborhood.....cobalt heaven. Im still faster....except for "rage" he'll smoke me...for now We often tie up with a 343. Nice boat....gen, ac, lots of cockpit room. Not sure it would be my choice for that purpose though. Just get a cruiser if thats your thing.

WOW! 26 degree deadrise on your Condurre 269! That must give you a greatt ride in the junk. Where do you boat fastboat269? I knew those had deep hulls but I always thought they were 24 degrees.

2002 Cobalt 240 496 HO
I have a 2002 240 bowrider with a 496 HO & Bravo1X. The boat is used on the Delaware River and in the Tuckerton Bay area.

Has anyone installed a blower or headers on a 240? I'm considering both options, but the engine compartment looks very cramped.
