Talking

Was reading this thread and got to the end only to realize it was already a year old. Ha! I just bought a Cobalt 282 with twin 496mag HO's w/ B3's and X drives. Seeing how fast your 303 went makes me really excited about getting mine in the water. I think the jump to a 303 is a lot heavier and wider boat?? Wonder if I can get 70mph in my 282?
Great looking 303!

Default I have a 282

I have a single 496 mag and run 52-53 w/ duo props, I wish mine had twin 496ho's. I would be surprised if you did not hit at least the high 60's. Nice boat

Default Cobalt 302

I have one of the first produced 302's delivered in May of 2007with Twin 8.1 Volvo's, captains call, etc. 60 is pretty easy but much north of that I have found about 63 or so is it. . It runs that pretty loaded too. I went from a 262 with single 8.1 Volvo that hit 60. The boat is so much heavier that even with the twin big blocks you don't get that much more speed but a LOT more cost to purchase. I will have to say the boat is a freakin blast and the room is great. I don't think I can go back to a smaller Bowrider. Just bring your credit card to fill up!

Your performance numbers track exatly to mine, but I'm running in west coast ocean conditions. Love the boat. It's everything I hoped for.
