We took them off the ELIMinator cause they were too small and we had to put the DANA MONSTER picnic table tab on there to help with the porpouise so it was'nt like riding the BULL at GILLYs .. There $2500.00 at TEAGUE or BOOSTPOWER so so 1000.00 is real fair

mercman,
i think i get what your saying, angle them in between the deadrise and a horizontal line across the stern, right?

i figure when i do it i'll contact velocity and the tab manufacturer, but wanted to get some real world advice as well, thanks!
I for one would be very interested in what Velocity and the tab manufacturer say on the subject please post that info when you have it !!! thanks

1986 Trojan 10 Meter "dirty connection", 1980/2010 Banana 24', and a 29' Scarab
so on a 24' boat with an 8'6" beam, would it be a better idea to mount them in line with the stern to extend the running surface ?? I run in 2' to 3' chop usually. I am getting ready to mount a set of 280s on a new transom and just want to make sure I am doing it the right way. I would like to have 380s in the future. Is there a difference in how you would mount them if you had 280s vs. 380s ?? thanks guys

The 380 plates with fit the 280 housing so all you have to do is swap plates not the whole thing.
