Default "sticky" transmission

Hey all~

Some help for the inexperienced please.

Lately when I put my throttle into the forward idle position, the prop doesn't engage. I have to give it more gas before it catches and then of course it's a little violent. Anyone know how to adjust this? Four Winns Funship 254 with Volvo 7.4 dual prop. Thanks!

Volvo does not use a transmision..... Sounds like you may have a cable that is sticking?

Get someone familiar with them to check it out. I think its more likely the cable is bad. Usually no adjustment is needed once it is set.

Vapor, It may be, I would suggest you consult a mechanic that works on Volvos. If he told you its an adjustment can he tell you how to do it?
I'm a merc guy sorry I made a volvo suggestion.

Thumbs up

He's a Volvo mechanic and is doing it on his dime since he just did a 100hr on it last week.

Thanks again for your help!
