are you talkin as far as the outdrive end goes? like with the alignment tool for the bravo's/alphas? For a TRS setup its actually the same tool....only difference is theres an extra plate that goes on the end and will sit flush to the bell housing of the transom assembly. If you mounted the trannie and you can spin the output shaft, thats ok. Once the trans is bolted to the bellhousing, she's in.
If you are tryin to get the tranny mounted, but the splines wont engage in to the coupler, you may have to rotate the trans counter clockwise or clockwise till it slides in flush.
