454 Magnum oil press and water temp alarm senders???

Hello,

I have a pair of 454 magnum engines in a 1991 Apache 28'. I need to replace the senders for the alarm that sounds for low oil pressure and high water temperature. I already got new senders for the gages but I can't find the senders needed for the warning buzzer.

Also I need to replace the gasket for the oil filter relocation adapter, where it installs onto the block. Any ideas on this??

Any help you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Julian Gutierrez

Julian, here's a schematic. http://www.perfprotech.com/store/art...schematic.aspx

The oil sender is usually located underneath and next to the oil filter pad on the block, on the pan rail.

The water sender is located in the intake manifold. A wire runs from the water temp sender towards oil pressure sender and then that wire and the wire from the harness both connect to the oil pressure sender.

Thanks, Panther! With those part numbers I can order the senders from my local Mercury dealer.

Any idea on where I can get the oil filter re-location kit's gaskets??

Thanks again for your help!

Julian

It depends which adapter you have. Most of the older merc relo kits use a standard oil filter o-ring. The upper gasket on some of the models can be cut out of gasket paper or you can order it from merc.
