Formula 233 ls motor swap
I just bought a 83 formula with twin 305 mercs. Well the first weekend I went out. One of the motors threw a rod. So here is my question. I have to 1987 efi 350 out of k20 puck up trucks can I use them? And what do I need to change to make them work? Only reason I'm asking is cause I already have the motors so trying to keep it cheap. Please someone let me now if I can use them. thanks

You would need to get new couplers since the 87 is a one piece rear main and if you plan to stay carbed you will either need to get new intakes or slot a couple bolt holes in the manifolds off your 305's

Yea I just plan in using the long blocks I will change the freeze plugs to brass and get new intake manis to bolt the carbs on. I already checked and I can use the same manifolds and risers. Just seeing if any internals would have to be changed.
